TIGHTER GUN CONTROL LAWS MUST COME!!

Over the weekend, another CPS student was innocently killed while riding home from a high school basketball game.  Gregory Robinson was on his way home with another relative and small children when he was shot and killed.  He is the 28th Chicago Public School student killed by gunfire this year alone!  This may be by cross-fire, they may not be the intended targets or they may be;  it could be related to gangs or drugs or they could just be innocent children who were in the wrong place at the wrong time.  Whatever the case may be, they were killed by GUNS!  Many times the guns are not legally obtained and they are not registered!  After having so many students lives claimed by gun fire I think that it is time for there to be tighter gun control laws.  While I also believe that criminals will be criminals and may always find a way to obtain a gun or kill someone, I still believe that the best way to reduce the number of casualties from gunfire is to have tighter gun control laws!  To have mandatory background checks on all people buying guns, make it impossible for them to obtain more than one gun at a time, and that if there is any criminal report of violence or any criminal past that they are unable to obtain the gun.  What do you think?  Should their be tighter gun control laws?

I completely agree with you. Children should not have to grow up experiencing these kinds of tragedy's. My family works downtown at a school for inner city children, and it is disturbing me how many of them, even under the age of 5 have witnessed deaths, and lost a family member or friend. Experiencing things like these can completely ruin a persons life, and something needs to be done to stop it.
